Discover our Biotech
Our work will enable Brazil to master the technology for manufacturing biopharmaceuticals, overcoming our external dependence on this type of medicine. We will be sovereign in this strategic field for the health sector. Our employees are motivated by the pride of actively participating in this transformation that we are leading in the healthcare sector.
Medicines produced using biotechnological methods
Essentially using genetic engineering techniques that allow cells from animals, plants or microorganisms, or even entire organisms, to produce the desired medicine.
Medicines obtained from animal fluids or tissues
Biopharmaceuticals obtained from animal fluids or tissues are biological products derived from living organisms. This category of biopharmaceuticals includes a variety of therapeutic substances, such as monoclonal antibodies, hormones and growth factors, which are extracted or produced from biological fluids, such as blood, or from animal tissues, such as organs and glands.
Biological and biosimilar medicines play a crucial role in modern medicine. They are essential in the treatment of various types of cancer, autoimmune diseases and a variety of other pathologies. Biotechnology therefore not only provides the basis for the production of these medicines, but also opens the door to more effective and personalized treatments in the future. With continued commitment and research, we continue to expand the horizons of medicine and improve the quality of life for patients around the world.
